When the world was still in order, cows were grazing in pastures, farmers were bringing their milk to the local alpine dairy for processing, and house doors remained unlocked from morning till night, I was born in a village in Tyrol. I learned to read and write at the age of four and a half. For my fifth birthday, I received my first book of fairy tales, which took me to foreign lands and worlds and left a lasting impression on me. As fascinating as I found Gulliver's Travels, I was horrified by the tragic fate of Sleeping Beauty, who at 12 had to marry a man who was probably twice her age. Just because he kissed her. Without being asked. I knew how to avoid that, but at 16, the big wide world called. I traveled by train, bus and boat to Finnish Lapland. Alone. While others dreamt of Jesolo, I wanted to see the Arctic Circle.
My spiritual journey, on the other hand, began towards the end of secondary school. With the support of my grandmother, who secretly did card readings with me and made me a small wooden table for table turning. Without nails. Grandma just knew a lot... Every question our occult teenage group had was answered. The fact that at the end of the spiritual session, I was declared a medium by the summoned soul was, of course, anything but what I wanted to be at the time.
To reassure my family and also to satisfy my sense of duty, I learned a bread-and-butter profession: office administrator. At that time, I discovered connections between the position of teeth and character traits or family imprints. Even today, I usually know more about a person's soul life after a smile than they would usually tell me.
At 21, I had completed the apprenticeship, was able to add Ibiza and Mykonos to my travel destinations and was ready to take on the world. The horror of my fellow villagers was about the same as that of mine towards Sleeping Beauty. The good advice was not long in coming, but it failed to convince me. Neither the good job as a basis for retirement, nor the prospect of five weeks of vacation per year. I preferred to stick with Oscar Wilde: “I always pass on advice. That's the only thing you can do with it,” and embarked on my idea of life.
After many travels and experiences, I continued my spiritual path. I learned kinesiology, hypnosis, Ayurveda and a few other complementary practices and began my work as a holistic life coach. Along the way, I found my love for India and finally the key to writing.
